Goethe-Institut Nigeria Support & Connect Program for Artists and Cultural Experts (Up to €5,000 grant)

The Goethe-Institut Nigeria is dedicated to supporting Nigerian solo artists, collectives, and cultural experts in bringing their projects to life. Over the years, we have provided assistance to a diverse range of projects in various art forms, including music, contemporary dance, photography, documentary films, theatre, visual arts, and literature. We also extend our support to artists and cultural experts who are invited to participate in festivals or cultural projects in Germany or on the African continent but lack the necessary funding.

We believe that this support is crucial in giving young and emerging artists in Nigeria’s cultural landscape the opportunity to showcase their talents and gain recognition. Our call for submissions is open to all artistic and cultural initiatives from across the country and sectors. This year, our Support and Connect initiative is providing funding for projects in three categories:

1. Art and Culture Projects (up to 5,000 EUR each)
2. Art and Culture Festivals (up to 5,000 EUR each)
3. Art and Culture Travel Grant (up to 2,500 EUR each)

Furthermore, we are continuing our Sustainability Grant for recurring projects that have previously received funding from the Goethe-Institut. These projects can receive a maximum budget of 2,000 Euros, provided they have a collaborator or another funding partner.

By offering these opportunities, we aim to foster the growth and development of the arts and culture scene in Nigeria, while also facilitating connections and collaborations within the international artistic community.
