OPEN: Advancing Nutrition Through Female-Led Processing Program for Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Anambra, and Kaduna States
Applications are now open for Cohort 2.0 of the Advancing Nutrition Through Female-Led Processing (ANTFem) Program, a transformative initiative designed to uplift and empower women-led food processing businesses across Nigeria. The program is part of a broader effort to strengthen the nation’s food systems, enhance nutrition outcomes, and position women entrepreneurs as key drivers of innovation and sustainability within the agricultural value chain.
Implemented by [Food Health Systems Advisory (FHSA)] the ANTFem Program focuses on equipping female food processors with the skills, resources, and networks needed to scale their enterprises and improve food security. Through this initiative, FHSA supports women operating in vital processing segments such as **dried tomato, dried okra, dried and smoked fish, yoghurt, and fura da nono**, fostering growth and modernization across these value chains. Participants will receive tailored assistance in areas including **business development, financial management, technology adoption, digital tools, mentorship, and access to broader markets**, empowering them to build resilient, profitable, and impactful food businesses.
Eligibility
The ANTFem 2.0 Program is open to two major applicant categories—**Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)** and **Clusters**—each with specific eligibility requirements designed to encourage inclusivity and collective growth.
For SMEs
Must be a **female-led food processing business** with an **annual turnover of ₦10 million or more**.
Operate within one of the specified value chains.
Must be **registered with SMEDAN or the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC)**.
Serve **low-income consumers** as a key part of their market reach.
For Clusters
Comprise a **group of at least 10 female-led micro food businesses** working within the same value chain.
Maintain a **combined turnover between ₦5 million and ₦10 million**.
Must be **registered with SMEDAN or CAC**.
Have **dedicated production sites** and maintain **accurate financial records**.
