Applications are now open for the African Development Bank Young Professionals Program (YPP) 2025, a flagship initiative designed to build a diverse and dynamic leadership pipeline for Africa’s future. The YPP develops talented professionals into development leaders capable of driving the Bank’s mission of transforming Africa.
The three-year international program offers participants exposure to different departments within the Bank through structured rotations, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.

Key Features
- Rotations: Three placements across Bank complexes, including possible regional assignments.
- Training: Comprehensive professional and leadership courses under the YP Learning Faculty, in partnership with top institutions.

- Career Growth: Successful graduates are integrated into the Bank’s workforce at the PL5 level.
Eligibility Requirements
- Citizen of an AfDB member country.
- Aged 32 or younger by November 30, 2025.
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with strong academic records.
- Minimum of 3 years’ post-graduate experience aligned with the Bank’s strategic priorities.
- Demonstrated passion for Africa’s development and ability to work in diverse environments.
- Proficiency in English or French (knowledge of both is an advantage).
- Willingness to relocate to Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, and travel as needed.
- Female candidates and applicants from underrepresented member countries are strongly encouraged to apply.
