The goal is to develop solutions for disease prevention, diagnosis, management, and treatment. This includes a wide range of technologies such as vaccines, diagnostics, medical devices, therapeutics, and surgical devices.

In order to prioritize impactful solutions that can transform healthcare delivery in Africa, we are particularly interested in proposals that focus on the following areas:

1. Reducing premature deaths caused by non-communicable diseases among African populations.
2. Optimizing diagnostic and prognostic tests to suit African contexts.
3. Developing novel diagnostic tools to enhance resilience against endemic diseases.
4. Preventing, diagnosing, and treating zoonotic diseases.

We believe that solutions with strong potential for improving healthcare equity and access will contribute to strengthening health systems in Africa.
