Entries open: TaiwanICDF’s International Higher Education Scholarship
Applications are officially open for the 2026 TaiwanICDF International Higher Education Scholarship Program, one of the most generous and impactful fully funded scholarship schemes available to students from developing and partner nations. In collaboration with 22 top-tier universities across Taiwan, the Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) is offering 32 English-taught Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD programs starting September 2026.
These scholarships are far more than financial aid—they are strategic investments in human capital. Every program has been carefully designed to equip scholars with cutting-edge knowledge and practical skills that directly address the sustainable development challenges facing their home countries, from tropical agriculture and public health to green energy, ICT for development, and business management. Recipients return home not just with a world-class degree, but as empowered change-makers ready to lead national progress.
About TaiwanICDF
The Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) is the Republic of China (Taiwan)’s primary vehicle for international development assistance and people-to-people cooperation. Established in 1996, it works hand-in-hand with over 100 partner countries across Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, and the Pacific to deliver targeted, high-impact solutions in education, health, agriculture, technology, and private-sector development.
Through its Higher Education Scholarship Program—the largest of its kind offered by Taiwan—the TaiwanICDF has empowered more than 4,000 professionals since 1998. Many alumni now occupy senior government positions, lead NGOs, found successful enterprises, or drive innovation in critical sectors back home. By combining Taiwan’s world-renowned expertise in technology, engineering, medicine, and sustainable development with fully funded English-medium education, the TaiwanICDF is building a global network of leaders committed to the Sustainable Development Goals.
