Entries open for “ART ON CLIMATE” INTERNATIONAL ILLUSTRATION COMPETITION FOR YOUNG ILLUSTRATORS.

The International Illustration Competition, “Art on Climate,” is currently seeking talented illustrators to create artworks that address the theme of climate change. The competition aims to serve as a platform for the exchange of innovative ideas and practical solutions to tackle climate change. It also aims to inspire the public to actively make changes in their daily lives in response to this global challenge.

Theme: Climate Change

Participants are encouraged to submit original artworks on the theme of “climate change.” They can draw inspiration from the following topics:

Eligibility: ART ON CLIMATE” INTERNATIONAL ILLUSTRATION COMPETITION FOR YOUNG ILLUSTRATORS

  1. Any individual aged 18 or above, regardless of their location, is eligible to participate.
  2. Participants must be 18 or above on May 19, 2024.

Artwork Specifications:

  1. Artworks must be original and relevant to the competition’s theme, submitted individually by participants.
  2. Each participant can submit a maximum of three artworks.
  3. The submitted artworks must not have been previously published, used for any other purpose, awarded, or currently participating in other competition selections.
  4. No participant identification, such as signatures, words, symbols, or pictures, should be included in the submitted artworks.
  5. The artworks must be in a flat image format and created in color.
  6. Participants can use any medium, including painting, computer software, and mixed media. However, artworks generated by artificial intelligence are not accepted. The use of photographs and clip art is prohibited.
  7. The artworks should be in A3 size (297mm x 420mm), either in horizontal or vertical format.
  8. They must be uploaded in JPG format, with a resolution of at least 300 dpi, and the total size of each entry should not exceed 10MB.
  9. Each artwork should be accompanied by a short description, consisting of a minimum of 30 words and a maximum of 100 words.

Awards and Exhibition

  1. Champion: e-certificate and a prize of €2,000
  2. 1st runner-up: e-certificate and a prize of €1,500
  3. 2nd runner-up: e-certificate and a prize of €1,000
  4. Merit: e-certificate and a prize of €150
  5. The Champion, 1st runner-up, 2nd runner-up, and Merit winners will receive a personalized award certificate via email.
  6. The winning artworks, along with selected other works, will be showcased in a virtual exhibition.
  7. A total of 53 winning artworks will be chosen based on the 100-point scale used by the judges for evaluation.
  8. The top three artworks with the highest scores will be ranked as Champion, 1st runner-up, and 2nd runner-up, while the remaining 50 selected winning artworks will be ranked as Merit.

Timeline:

  1. Registration and artwork submission: May 20, 2024, to July 31, 2024 (inclusive)
  2. Announcement of results: Winners will be notified via email, and the results will be published on this page by September 30, 2024.
