Applications are currently being accepted for the 2024 World Summit Award (WSA) Young Innovators Award. The WSA Young Innovators Award is an open invitation for young entrepreneurs, companies, student groups, or project teams. To be eligible, at least one founding member and the majority of the team must be under the age of 26 (born on or after January 1, 1998).

Open to young citizens of all UN member states, WSA Young Innovators welcomes startups, social entrepreneurs, NGOs, students, and individuals. Submissions can include mobile and web-based solutions such as apps, web pages, wearables applications, kiosk installations, SMS-based products, games, and interactive productions. There are no restrictions on the platforms or channels the solutions work with.

Requirements for the World Summit Award Young Innovators Award

1. All submissions must be fully launched products. Drafts, ideas, or unfinished projects will not be accepted.
2. The application process for the WSA & WSA Young Innovators requires detailed information on your product to be provided in the WSA Contest Database.
3. When filling out your application, please be concise and clear to ensure your digital solution is easily understood.
4. Avoid lengthy sentences and technical jargon. All applications must be completed in English.
5. Keep in mind that an international jury will be evaluating your solution.
6. If your solution is not available for download in certain countries, provide enough information, screenshots, or a comprehensive presentation for the jurors.

1. The champions will have the opportunity to participate in the 19th WSA Global Congress in Hyderabad, India. This will allow the winners to:

Timeline of the World Summit Award Young Innovators Award

1. May 15, 2024: WSA will start accepting applications for Young Innovators
2. October 15, 2024: Deadline for applications – WSA will not accept any applications after this date
3. November 2024: The Online Jury will evaluate the applications to select the shortlist
4. January 2025: Shortlisted solutions will be announced
5. TBA 2025: The Grand Jury will evaluate the shortlist to select the winners
6. April 6-9, 2025: Young Innovator winners will be presented and awarded, along with all the other WSA winners, at the WSA Global Congress in Hyderabad, India
