EDC MasterCard Transforming Nigerian Youths Program now open
The Transforming Nigerian Youths program is designed to establish a network of young entrepreneurs and leaders in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector in Nigeria. This initiative is brought to Nigeria through a collaboration between the Young Africa Works-Mastercard Foundation and the Enterprise Development Centre, Pan-Atlantic University.
EDC is partnering with the Foundation to enhance the capabilities of 40,000 MSMEs, with a particular focus on the agriculture and creative sectors, especially women-led businesses in Nigeria. The training will be delivered through EDC’s online learning platform and IVR (Interactive Voice Response), ensuring accessibility for all learners, regardless of their location.
The program’s core objectives include:
- Transforming the mindset of Nigerian youths to embrace entrepreneurship and equipping them with the skills to become self-employed or job creators.
- Additionally, the program aims to facilitate market access and provide support services to existing business owners, particularly those operated by young individuals.
- Furthermore, the program seeks to revolutionize the way learning and information are accessed in Nigeria through EDC Beam.
