The Yale Drama Series Playwriting Competition is currently accepting submissions for its 2025 playwriting contest. The winning play will be chosen by the current judge, Branden Jacobs-Jenkins. The recipient of this yearly competition will receive the David Charles Horn Prize of $10,000, have their manuscript published by Yale University Press, and attend a special event. The management of plastic waste in Nigeria remains a challenge, as it does not biodegrade and continues to litter the streets and mar the appearance of towns and cities. The Mind the Plastic Challenge for secondary schools in Lagos State  seeks to confront this problem by tapping into the inventive ideas of young Nigerians. If you are a school in Lagos with students who can propose solutions to plastic waste, participating in this competition is highly recommended. A competition has been organized to address this issue directly.
