Call For Vendors and Suppliers At COWACDI

Concern for Women and Children Development Foundation (COWACDI) is a Non-governmental, Non-profit Humanitarian/Developmental organization that was established in 2005. Our primary focus is on the well-being of vulnerable women and children in Nigerian society, particularly in the NE Nigeria region. We are dedicated to reducing suffering during times of crisis, whether caused by conflict or natural disasters. Currently, our efforts are concentrated in the BAY (Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe) States of NE Nigeria.

As a developing country, Nigeria faces numerous challenges in its developmental process. These challenges include social unrest, religious crises, various forms of violence, inadequate environmental management, misuse of social media, unemployment, and insufficient access to basic amenities such as water, electricity, healthcare, and education.

Women and children are often the most vulnerable in these situations due to their societal roles. COWACDI recognizes this and strives to minimize or eliminate these challenges for them. We implement community-based protection programs, provide psychosocial support, and offer child protection and assistance to address the specific needs of this group. By doing so, we aim to alleviate the suffering experienced by the vulnerable during times of hardship.

Our organization provides aid to the most vulnerable population without discrimination based on religion, race, gender, or political affiliation. Our decisions are solely driven by the needs of the affected population and are not influenced by political, economic, or religious interests.

COWACDI is seeking to strengthen its efforts and is therefore extending an invitation to qualified vendors and suppiers to register with them. COWACDI is inviting all potential suppliers and service providers, including current COWACDI suppliers, to apply for registration at the COWACDI Maiduguri office in Borno state. The purpose of this registration is to ensure that vendors are registered and included in COWACDI’s procurement/suppliers Database. This aligns with COWACDI’s procurement principles of Transparency, Equal Opportunity, and competitive supply. The main objective of the Database is to provide all potential suppliers with an equal opportunity to submit quotations to COWACDI and to promote transparency and fairness in the procurement processes.

The objectives of this Invitation are as follows:

1. To pre-qualify and select new suppliers for future purchase requirements.
