Call for Applications: $1.5m Grants for Entrepreneurs in Africa’s Business Heroes

The search for Africa’s future business leaders and change-makers has commenced with the launch of the sixth annual Africa’s Business Heroes Prize Competition. ABH, which is a philanthropic initiative of the Jack Ma Foundation, aims to support African entrepreneurs in their endeavors. This competition, spanning across the continent, aims to identify and honor 10 exceptional entrepreneurs who are making a positive impact in their local communities.

For over a decade, this program has highlighted the achievements of 100 African entrepreneurs, providing them with crucial resources such as grant funding, training programs, and comprehensive support to strengthen the wider African entrepreneurial industry.

Benefits:

1. Grant Funding: The top 10 finalists will have the opportunity to compete for a portion of $1.5 million in grant money, which will fuel the growth and expansion of their ventures.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. ABH welcomes candidates from all 54 African countries, promoting inclusivity and diversity.
2. The program is open to entrepreneurs of all ages and genders, ensuring equal opportunities for all.
3. Entrepreneurs from various industries and sectors are eligible to apply.
4. ABH supports entrepreneurs from all walks of life, recognizing and nurturing talent and potential.
5. Dr. Ikpeme Neto, CEO and Founder of Wellahealth Technologies and the winner of the ABH 2023 First Prize, shared the transformative impact of participating in the ABH Prize Competition.
