The Biodesign Innovation Fellowship offers a 10-month program designed to provide aspiring innovators with a reliable and replicable method for identifying significant health-related needs, creating innovative health technologies to meet those needs (which may include medical devices, diagnostics, digital health solutions, drug delivery systems, and biotechnology advancements), and getting ready to integrate these products into patient care through startups, corporations, or other avenues. Furthermore, the Innovation Fellows join the Stanford Biodesign community, a lifelong global network of innovators dedicated to enhancing healthcare.

Who – Stanford Biodesign Innovation Fellowship for aspiring innovators
Individuals holding advanced degrees and/or significant professional experience in engineering, life sciences, computer science, business, product design, law, medicine, or nursing are encouraged to apply. Selection of fellows will be based on their experience, enthusiasm, and determination, as well as their potential to emerge as leading innovators in the health technology sector.

Stanford Biodesign Fellows join the Stanford Biodesign team located at the James H. Clark Center on the Stanford University campus. Needs finding is conducted at Stanford Health Care, along with various other clinical and community-based environments throughout the continuum of care.
When – Stanford Biodesign Innovation Fellowship for aspiring innovators
The fellowship offers a full-time, rigorous experience that spans from early August to early June each year. Stanford Biodesign Innovation Fellows are provided with a monthly stipend and health benefits throughout the duration of their fellowship.
