APPLY: Social Impact Incentives for water, sanitation, and hygiene WASH enterprises

We are excited to announce a fresh round of support for businesses operating in the Social Impact Incentives for water, sanitation, and hygiene WASH enterprises, in partnership with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.

If your company is impact-oriented and aims to scale in a sustainable way, this program offers a unique chance to accelerate growth while amplifying your social contributions.

Through the Social Impact Incentives (SIINC) mechanism—part of the Impact-Linked Fund for WASH enterprises (ILF for WASH) and backed by Roots of Impact—enterprises can access performance-based payments tied to independently verified results. SIINC has already demonstrated its effectiveness in driving scalable and lasting solutions, offering a flexible and strategic path to expanding your business alongside your impact.

By aligning financial success with social value creation, the Social Impact Incentives for water, sanitation, and hygiene WASH enterprises, model also opens doors to new funding opportunities and strengthens long-term sustainability.

Eligibility Criteria – Social Impact Incentives for water, sanitation, and hygiene WASH enterprises

• Applicants must meet the following conditions:
• Operate in Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, or the MENA region
• Have been in operation for at least three years
• Be actively raising investments, or have concrete prospects, of at least EUR 500,000 (for drinking water and menstrual hygiene enterprises) or a minimum of EUR 250,000 (for sanitation enterprises)
• Possess a clear business and revenue model, regardless of legal structure
• Have already achieved or be on track to reach financial sustainability (break-even point and profitability projections)
• Focus on water, sanitation, and/or hygiene (WASH), with measurable benefits for low-income communities, gender inclusion, and/or climate resilience
• Have an established impact measurement and management system in place
