The upcoming phase of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) Young Talent Pipeline (UNEP UNV Young Talent Pipeline begins its second phase) is set to commence on 25 June 2024. This phase will continue the work initiated in 2023 and is focused on involving young talented individuals in leadership roles related to environment, pollution, and climate action.
This collaborative effort between UNEP and UNV has two main goals:
1. To deploy a group of 13 young talented individuals in fields aligned with UNEP’s mission.
2. To attract applicants from Latin America and the Caribbean, Eastern Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Africa.
Eligibility for the UNEP UNV Young Talent Pipeline begins its second phase
- If you are under 33 years old, explore the opportunities available for assignments. Women and individuals from marginalized communities are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Applicants must hold relevant academic qualifications and possess at least three years of professional experience.
- We are looking for innovative individuals with a strong commitment to environmental issues, particularly in addressing climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss. If you fit this description, we invite you to submit your application.
- Successful candidates will be stationed at UNEP’s headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya.
- Assignments are scheduled to commence in November 2024 and will run for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of extension.
- Those selected through the Young Talent Pipeline will have access to various learning and professional development opportunities, including online training programs.
