Eligibility Requirements – Startup Energy Camp for African Energy Startups

- Industry – Your startup must provide a product or service for the decentralized energy market in sub-Saharan Africa, such as:
- Energy production or distribution
- Storage systems
- Energy solutions or services for sectors like health, education, water, sanitation, consumption, mobility, agriculture
- Energy-efficient products and services
- Financing solutions
- Measuring and control systems
- Recycling / Repurposing
- Product / Service Type – Your business concept: is a new product or service development with MVP (not just an idea), or a significant enhancement of an existing product / service, or you are introducing a known product / service to new markets with your startup.
- Location – Headquarters registered in Sub-Saharan Africa
- Majority Ownership – African nationals or Non-Africans permanently residing in Africa
- Experience – At least one of the founders has a minimum of 2 years of business experience
- Stage – A Minimum Viable Product (MVP) is prepared, with existing pilot customers or a pilot project completed
- Independence – No affiliation or franchise of an international company
- Product/Service Age – max. 10 years
- Investment – The company has not yet received > 500k euros from investors
