Apply now for the GAIN AGRI-Business Innovation Challenge
The 2024 GAIN AGRI-Business Innovation Challenge is now accepting applications. GAIN, a Swiss-based foundation established in 2002 to address malnutrition, has partnered with the Nigeria Climate Innovation Center to launch the Agribusiness Innovation Challenge.
This challenge is designed to attract agritech startups with solutions for enhancing the food supply chain in Nigeria. The goal is to identify, develop, and scale innovative solutions to food safety challenges and create a healthier food supply chain that can meet the needs of a growing population while addressing the challenges posed by climate change in Nigeria.
Additionally, the challenge provides technical assistance training to women and youth-led start-ups to strengthen their capacity, improve their access to financial services, and develop their business concepts to enhance food supply chain efficiency in Nigeria as part of GAIN’s Strengthening Nutrition in Priority Staples project.
Criteria for the GAIN AGRI-Business Innovation Challenge
- Agri-tech startups in Nigeria are invited to apply for the program.
- Female applicants aged 18-35 are strongly encouraged to apply.
- The applicants must have agri-business innovations that can address the Food Supply Chain challenges in Nigeria.
- Shortlisted candidates should be committed to all program deliverables and willing to test and replicate their solutions in specific states in Nigeria.
- All applicants must have businesses registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
- Previous beneficiaries are not eligible to apply.
