Applications are now open for the MTN Foundation ICT And Business Skills Training Phase 6 For Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Kebbi, Niger and Yobe State. MTN ICT and Business Skills Training is a Youth Development initiative designed to equip young entrepreneurs aged 18 to 35 with technology-enabled skills that will help their small businesses remain relevant and competitive.
The training will be conducted through a 5-week online program featuring Masterclasses led by prominent industry experts.
Participants will receive data throughout the program to ensure a smooth learning experience. Additionally, the top 300 participants will benefit from an Equipment Grant totaling N90,000,000! Indeed, you read that correctly.
In collaboration with several ecosystem partners – including Oracle, KPMG, IBM, Digital Bridge Institute, CISCO, Google, Meta, and Microsoft – 5 Phases of the ICT and Business Skills Training have been executed across 16 states since 2018.
These states include Abia, Adamawa, Akwa-Ibom, Anambra, Borno, Cross River, Imo, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kogi, Lagos, Nasarawa, Oyo, and Rivers. To date, 4,036 young individuals have successfully completed this program.
In this 6th phase, 3000 youths will engage in the ICT and Business Skills Training, implemented in partnership with Microsoft and Meta. This phase promises to be enlightening as:
Microsoft will provide training on Entrepreneurship in the Digital Age, ICT for Business Success, and their new Generative AI skills. Meta will offer training on Skills to Build Brands and Grow Businesses Online through their Meta Boost for Small Business.
Eligibility criteria
- Age 18 – 35 years
- Business – Own and manage a small business that has been in operation for no longer than 2 years
- Location – Own and manage a small business located in one of the following states – Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Kebbi, Niger, Yobe State.
