NPI, sponsored by the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA), aims to promote innovation in Nigeria’s digital ecosystem and support local solutions that can contribute to socio-economic development. The program is designed to foster creativity within the digital ecosystem and provide funding for early-stage, growth-oriented solutions. Its ultimate goal is to drive transformative economic growth, enhance the nation’s productive capacity, and create job opportunities.

Prizes: NSIA Prize for Innovation

The program offers various prizes, with ten finalists being selected as winners. The top three winners will receive a combination of cash and equity to support their startups. The funding will be provided in a 75:25 equity and cash mix, with the exact stake in their company determined through a valuation process. Additionally, all ten finalists will have the opportunity to participate in a fully-funded, five-week training program at a prestigious US university in Silicon Valley. This program will also give them the chance to pitch their ideas to angel investors and gain global exposure.

While the priority sectors for the program are Financial Services, Agriculture, Health, Education, Manufacturing, Logistics & E-mobility, E-commerce & Marketplaces, and Climate, applicants from other sectors are still encouraged to apply.
