The Halcyon EquityTech Fellowship, supported by Capital One, Deloitte, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Arnold & Porter, empowers entrepreneurs from the United States and around the world to utilize technology in order to promote social and financial inclusion and address disparities in wealth, education, and accessibility.
SECTORS: Halcyon EquityTech Fellowship
The fellowship focuses on various sectors, including but not limited to
- FinTech,
- Future of Work,
- Assistive Tech,
- EdTech, all of which leverage technology to bridge equity gaps.
The program consists of a cohort of up to eight ventures led by entrepreneurs in the EquityTech field. These ventures undergo training in Halcyon’s methodology, which covers topics such as product-market fit, leadership, and investment readiness.

The program is structured as follows:
1. One virtual program kickoff meeting
2. An eight-week in-person residency in Washington, DC
TIMELINE: Halcyon EquityTech Fellowship
The timeline for the fellowship is as follows:
– May 31, 2024: Application deadline
– July 2024: Finalists invited to participate in a virtual pitch with the Selection Committee
– July 2024: Selected fellows will be notified
– September 6: Tentative date for the virtual program kickoff
– September 23 – November 15, 2024: In-person residency in Washington, DC.
BENEFITS: Halcyon EquityTech Fellowship
The program offers various benefits to fellows. Those accepted will receive:
– A $10,000 USD stipend per venture, free of equity, for travel expenses to attend the residencies
– An eight-week residency at Halcyon’s facilities in Georgetown, Washington, DC
– Tailored training on investment readiness, product-market fit, and leadership
– Pro bono legal support
– Pro bono consulting services from Deloitte
– Leadership coaching from a certified coach
– $10,000 USD in Amazon Cloud credits
– Access to a community of over 500 impact-driven entrepreneurs
ELIGIBILITY: Halcyon EquityTech Fellowship
To be eligible, we are seeking (for-profit) EquityTech ventures from anywhere in the world that meet the following criteria:
– Must have a Minimum Viable Product with scalability potential
– Teams can apply with up to one co-founder
– The applicant must be the CEO and/or have primary decision-making authority
– Proficiency in English is required
– Applicants must be at least 21 years old at the start of the program
– Full participation in all activities and programming sessions is mandatory
– The product and venture must align with one or more of the UN’s 17 SDGs
In addition to eligibility, Halcyon evaluates each application based on four criteria: Impact, Scalability, Innovation, and Talent.

- EFFECT – How significant will the solution’s impact be on society and/or the environment if it is expanded?
- EXPANSION POTENTIAL – Is it feasible for this project to grow and serve hundreds of thousands or even millions of users within the next 5-10 years?
- ORIGINALITY – Does the solution offer a fresh and unique perspective in addressing the problem within its specific environment?
- EXPERTISE – Does the team possess exceptional qualifications to effectively address the obstacles they have recognized?
