Applications for the 2024 Next Generation Foresight Practitioners (NGFP) Fellowship are now being accepted. This fellowship offers young professionals the opportunity to receive additional support as they delve into the field of futures and foresight. Recognizing that being a futurist can often feel isolating, especially for young individuals balancing this passion alongside their regular jobs, the fellowship aims to create a community where like-minded individuals can connect, access mentorship, enhance their foresight skills, engage in regional and sector-specific activities, and secure funding for their projects. Fellows will also have the chance to participate in relevant events within the futures and foresight realm and network with influential decision-makers.
Eligibility for the Next Generation Foresight Practitioners Fellowship
- Eligibility criteria include individuals aged between 18 and 35, as well as those older than 35 with less than five years of experience in foresight.
- The NGFP encourages applications from individuals residing in the Global South and those addressing complex global challenges or the Foresight Transformation Mission.
Benefits of the Next Generation Foresight Practitioners Fellowship
- Financial support for fellows includes an initial USD 1,000 grant to kickstart their projects.
- At the end of the one-year program, fellows will have the opportunity to compete for the Fellowship Main Prize, which includes a more substantial grant of at least USD 10,000 and recognizes outstanding achievements throughout the fellowship.
