Applications are currently being accepted for the 2024 IUCN Leaders Forum for Young Change Makers. This annual International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) event brings together leaders and influencers from across the globe to engage in discussions on innovative solutions to pressing global issues, make impactful commitments, establish partnerships, and drive action towards nature conservation and sustainability.

The IUCN Leaders Forum Changemakers program specifically targets young leaders and innovators who are actively involved in nature conservation or biodiversity projects within their communities. Selected participants will have the opportunity to join global leaders at the IUCN Leaders Forum in Geneva in October 2024 to showcase their projects, engage in discussions on integrating nature into various sectors such as energy, food, agriculture, and health, and promote nature-positive solutions. Additionally, participants will have the chance to present their initiatives to influential figures from the private sector, government, and civil society.

Eligibility for the IUCN Leaders Forum for Young Change Makers

To be eligible for the IUCN Leaders Forum Changemakers program, applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35,
demonstrate a history of leadership and innovation in nature conservation, biodiversity, climate change, or sustainable development, and be actively working on solutions that address the nature, climate, and biodiversity crises while intersecting with societal challenges.

Benefits of participating in the program include access to the IUCN Leaders Forum in Geneva, Switzerland, from October 8 to 10, 2024,
the opportunity to pitch environmental projects to global leaders, hotel accommodation in Geneva from October 7 to 11, 2024, travel expenses to Geneva, meals,
and other covered expenses during the stay.
