Applications open for the Dangote Cement Management Trainee Programme

Applications are now open for the 2025 Dangote Cement Management Trainee Programme. This distinguished 18-month programme is designed to develop talented mid-career professionals into the next generation of senior leaders at Dangote Cement. Selected trainees will benefit from cross-functional exposure, hands-on project experience, mentorship from senior executives, and intensive classroom training. The programme blends the depth of an MBA with practical rotations across operations, commercial, and corporate functions, creating resilient and business-savvy leaders.

Eligibility Requirements

• Age between 25 and 28 years
• Completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)
• 5–10 years of relevant work experience
• Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND for technical roles)
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with comfort in data-driven decision-making
• Proven leadership abilities and capacity to influence stakeholders at multiple levels
• Ability to adapt and thrive in challenging industrial settings

Programme Structure and Expectations

• Participate in a 1-month intensive classroom immersion covering business strategy, economic analysis, cement industry fundamentals, risk management, and leadership development.
• Engage in structured rotations across Operations & Technical, Commercial & Distribution, and Corporate Support departments.
• Undertake site visits and extended assignments at major plants and depots for practical exposure.
• Execute strategic projects, culminating in a capstone presentation to senior management.
• Attend three leadership labs focused on personal mastery, team leadership, and enterprise-wide leadership.
• Develop mentoring relationships with cross-border C-level executives.
• Maintain a reflective development journal and take part in peer learning activities.
• Showcase resilience, adaptability, and stakeholder influence in challenging industrial and business environments.

Programme Outcomes

• Prepare for early transition into senior leadership or technical/strategic assistant roles supporting the C-suite.
• Demonstrate capability to handle complex projects requiring enterprise-level thinking.
• Serve as role models of resilience, adaptability, and high performance in industrial contexts.
