Applications open for the 2024 Safe Online Youth Fellowship Program
Applications are currently being accepted for the 2024 Safe Online Youth Fellowship Program. This program is an integral part of the Safe Online Program and is designed for young individuals who are passionate about digital safety. It provides specialized training and opportunities for participants to advocate for responsible and secure online behaviors among their peers. The program not only educates but also actively involves participants in implementing and leading digital safety projects.
Eligibility: Safe Online Youth Fellowship Program
- To be eligible for the program, applicants must be serving NYSC corps members and currently teaching in a school in Lagos or Ogun State.
- They must also have a strong interest in promoting online safety and digital literacy.
- Additionally, applicants must be available for a 3-day physical bootcamp, the date of which will be communicated later.
Benefits: Safe Online Youth Fellowship Program
- Selected participants will benefit from training and development on digital safety,
- a fully funded 3-day residential leadership and digital safety bootcamp, and the opportunity to learn a tech skill through a scholarship.
- They will also have access to mentorship and networking opportunities, receive a one-time program completion stipend, gain recognition and incentives,
- and receive a completion certificate.
The timeline for the program is as follows:
- the application launches on May 10, 2024,
- the application closes on May 24, 2024,
- finalist interviews will take place from May 27 to May 31, 2024,
- the leadership bootcamp will be held in June 2024,
- workshops and project implementation will take place from July to October 2024,
- and the program will conclude with a closing and recognition event in November 2024.
