Applications open for Hubiquitous TecHub Catalyst Program

The main objective of the Hubiquitous Techub Catalyst Program is to uplift at least 10 African Tech Hubs in the field of IoT and emerging technologies. Our program is specifically designed to enhance the capabilities of these hubs in IoT and promote the development of sustainable value-added services. Through the Hub Catalyst Program, we aim to empower the hubs to drive technological innovation, skill development, and entrepreneurial growth within their local ecosystems.

To achieve this, we are fully committed to providing comprehensive IoT training to the personnel of these hubs through our “Train the trainers” initiative. This initiative includes a combination of virtual and in-person training sessions on the latest technologies. The in-person training will take place in Tanzania and will span over a week. Additionally, we will equip the hubs with our “Solution Box” package, which will enable them to establish or upgrade their in-house IoT labs. With their newly acquired competencies, the hubs will then launch a concise IoT certification course within their communities.

This certification program, which has been carefully designed in advance, will also feature an exciting hackathon. Furthermore, each hub will be required to develop or enhance two “Minimum Viable Products” using IoT technologies. As a culmination of their achievements, we will invite all successful hubs to participate in the “Hubiquitous Innovation Week” in Europe. This event will serve as a platform for the hubs to showcase their success stories and demonstrate their MVPs. Moreover, it will create opportunities for partnerships with European counterparts in Brussels and Berlin.
