Applications now open for the WIPO Young Experts Program
Applications are currently being accepted for the 2025/2026 WIPO Young Experts Program. This initiative is designed to enhance the skills and broaden the expertise of emerging leaders in the field of global Intellectual Property (IP), thereby contributing to the development of innovation ecosystems worldwide.
Over the course of this two-year competitive program, a select group of ten talented young professionals will engage directly with various initiatives at WIPO. Participants will gain valuable insights into both the technical and strategic dimensions of IP, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to foster economic growth in their respective countries and regions.
It is important to note that the WIPO Young Experts Program is not a recruitment pathway into WIPO; rather, it aims to cultivate IP leaders who can effect meaningful change in diverse global contexts. Consequently, in accordance with practices observed in similar programs, participants will be prohibited from applying for any positions at WIPO during their tenure in the WIPO Young Experts Program. Furthermore, individuals will also be restricted from seeking employment with WIPO for two years following the conclusion of their participation in the program.
