Venture Acceleration Programme – UCT GSB Solution Space e-Track

Applications for the Venture Acceleration Programme 2024 UCT GSB Solution Space e-Track Programme are now open. Developed in partnership with ayoba, this Venture Acceleration Programme is a two-phase venture acceleration and capacity-building initiative for high-impact entrepreneurs in South Africa and beyond.

The Venture Acceleration Programme focuses on supporting teams in building scalable businesses with international potential. Participants have the option to explore their own business ideas or join an existing venture. Additionally, the Venture Acceleration Programme provides a platform for corporate partners to engage and collaborate on specific research and development agendas.

The e-Track Programme consists of two phases, each addressing different aspects of venture building and development.

Phase one is the 5-week Venture Launch course, which concentrates on validating the venture concept.
Phase two is the 12-week Venture Scale course, designed to accelerate the development of the validated venture.

We are seeking innovation-driven and high-impact scale-ups with solutions that are relevant to the African market and have global potential. Both individual participants and teams are encouraged to apply. Most scale-ups entering the Venture Acceleration Programme have a business case, an early version of a product, and a team in place. They should have a working prototype with a minimum feature set ready for early-market testing to establish product and market fit.

Applicants for the Venture Acceleration Programme must demonstrate a deep understanding of the problem and market need or opportunity, with evidence of progress beyond the concept stage. This could include early market testing, customers, revenues, patents, or intellectual property filings.
