The World Around Young Climate Prize 2025
Applications for the second cycle of The Young Climate Prize award and mentorship program are now open! This initiative, created by The World Around, a nonprofit organization based in New York, aims to empower young designers and activists who have grown up in the era of climate crisis and are uniquely equipped to tackle it. The program pairs these emerging change-makers with mentors from the global design community to enhance the impact of their projects and connect them with a network of like-minded individuals. 25 finalists will receive invaluable mentorship opportunities, while three winners will have the chance to showcase their work and ideas at The World Around’s prestigious Annual Summit in 2025.
For the 2025 cycle, nominations and applications are open to all and completely free. To apply, simply submit a two-minute video detailing your self-initiated, climate-focused project along with your personal information.
MENTORSHIP & DESIGN ACADEMY Young Climate Prize 2025
- The 25 selected individuals, all under the age of 25, will be matched with mentors from The World Around’s esteemed Design Champions, a group of renowned architects, urbanists, and designers.
- Each mentee will benefit from at least three hour-long sessions with their mentor to refine their projects, brainstorm new concepts, and draw inspiration from experienced professionals.
- In addition to these personalized mentorships, the cohort will participate in a ‘Design Academy’ program.
- Every weekend, The World Around Young Climate Prize will host virtual workshops covering various topics such as marketing, fundraising, graphic design, communications, and film-making to provide additional support.
- These workshops also offer a great opportunity for participants to connect with their peers in the program.
WHO CAN APPLY? Young Climate Prize 2025
- Anyone aged 13-25 can submit their work.
- We encourage young people from anywhere in the world to share their projects. If English is not your first language you will be able to indicate this during the application process.
- Nominations and applications for the 2025 cycle are free to all.
