To fill open posts in the Federal Fire Service (FFS), the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) is accepting applications from adequately qualified individuals for full-time appointment

CLASS A: CADRE INSPECTORATE

I. Fire Inspector (IF) CONPASS 07

It is required of applicants that they hold a registered nurse (RN), registered midwife (RM), or registered nurse/midwife (RNIM) credential from an accredited institution.

II. CONPASS 06 Assistant Inspector of Fire (AIF)

Candidates must possess a National Diploma (ND) or NCE in a relevant field from any accredited polytechnic institution.

CATEGORY B: CADRE ASSISTANT

I. CONPASS 04 Fire Assistant II (FA II)

The GCE Ordinary level, SSCE/NECO, or other similar exams with a maximum of five (5) credits in no more than two sittings—English and Mathematics included—must be held by applicants.

II. Appliance Driver (Specialist), Fire Assistant III (FA III), CONPASS 03

The GCE Ordinary level, SSCE/NECO, or its equivalents, with a minimum of five (5) credits in no more than two sittings—at least in English and Mathematics—must be held by applicants. Candidates holding Class E driver’s licenses have an advantage over others.

The application method

Online applications are required. On Wednesday, December 27, 2023, candidates are expected to visit the Board’s website at https://edcfib.career to complete and submit the online application. It is recommended that candidates print out to print the Referee Forms, which need to be properly filled out and turned in for the screening process.

Applicants should be aware that their applications will be immediately rejected if they submit too many.

RECRUITMENT: STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS

I. Candidates have to be native Nigerians

II. Candidates need to meet the necessary requirements. After the recruitment, any credential or qualification that was not submitted and approved at the recruitment center will not be accepted.

III. Candidates must be in good health and provide a certificate of medical fitness from a government hospital that is accredited.

IV.RECRUITMENT INTO THE FEDERAL FIRE SERVICE (FFS) Candidates must have a clean record and not have been convicted of any crimes.

V. Applicants cannot be drug addicts, members of secret societies, or belong to cults, etc.

VI. Candidates cannot have a history of financial embarrassment

VII. The applicant’s age range must be 18 to 35.

VIII. The minimum height requirements for applicants are 1.65 meters for men and 1.60 meters for women.

IX. For men, the applicant’s chest measurement cannot be less than 0.87.

X Having computer literacy will be beneficial.
