The Les Margaret Awards celebrate and recognize the achievements of women entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs from Europe, Africa, and Canada. These remarkable women are making a difference by addressing the major challenges of our society through their innovative projects and ideas.
Named after Margaret Hamilton, the director of the software engineering division that played a crucial role in NASA’s Apollo space program, these awards honor her contribution to the historic moon landing. Thanks to Margaret Hamilton, humanity took its first steps on the Moon.
Requirements
- Through the Les Margaret Awards, JFD is committed to supporting the growth and international influence of startups and initiatives led by European, African, and Canadian women.
- Whether you are a female founder or co-founder of a tech startup, an intrapreneur who has developed an innovative project while working as an employee,
- or a young woman under 18 with a creative and entrepreneurial spirit, there is a category for you.
- If you are a citizen of a European, African country, or Canada, and your project addresses societal issues with innovation, this is your chance to shine.
Timeline
- The call for applications will close on 8 January 2024.
- The finalists will be pre-selected by JFD and presented to a jury of experts on 8 February 2024.
- From there, 10 winners will be chosen, including entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, juniors, and a territorial favorite.
