Nigeria Prize for Literary Criticism now accepting entries

The Nigeria Prize for Literary Criticism is currently accepting entries. This prestigious award, sponsored by Nigeria LNG, aims to recognize the author of the best critical work. In order to promote literary criticism, the Advisory Board of the Nigeria Prize for Literature will grant a prize of USD 10,000 to the author of the most outstanding critical work.This year, the focus of the competition is on Children’s Literature genre.

Nigeria Prize for Literary Criticism participation criteria

• To participate, all applicants must submit their entries along with a completed application form, which can be obtained online from The Nigeria Prizes website, www.thenigeriaprizes.org.
• The printed forms should be submitted together with the entries. For further information on the submission process, please visit www.thenigeriaprizes.org.
• Applicants are required to submit three (3) literary criticism works specifically related to Children’s Literature in order to be eligible for the prize. The selection will be based solely on the criteria of excellence.
• The announcement and public presentation of the winner(s), if any, will take place in October 2024. Please note that the deadline for all entries is Tuesday, 2nd April 2024. Late submissions will not be considered.
