Lagos Agripreneurship Training Programme for Unemployed women and youth is now open

The Executive Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-olu, came up with the Lagos Agripreneurship Programme (LAP) as a way to address the issues of unemployment, poverty, and food security. The program focuses on training and empowering women and youths in modern agricultural practices, turning them into Agripreneurs.

This initiative aligns with the Ministry of Agriculture’s goals in the T.H.E.M.E.S. PLUS developmental agenda of the State Government, which includes capacity building, wealth and employment generation, and ensuring food security, among other things.

We are now inviting applications from qualified candidates who are interested in a one-month training program in poultry, piggery, aquaculture, vegetable value chains, e-agric, and agribusiness at the Agricultural Training Institute in Araga, Epe.

After completing the training, participants will also have the opportunity to undergo a minimum of three months of internship and mentorship in their chosen value chains.
