Join the MILEAD Fellows Program for Young African Women Leader

Join the 2024 MILEAD Fellows Program for Young African Women Leaders

For more than ten years, MILEAD Fellows have been driving transformative change, shattering barriers, implementing life-altering initiatives, and challenging systems that marginalize women and girls. Our program is designed to discover, nurture, and elevate the upcoming generation of African female leaders, providing them with the necessary skills and support to excel in leadership positions throughout Africa.

The MILEAD Program provides fellows with top-notch knowledge, skills, values, and support systems essential for success as women leaders in the 21st century. The program will be awarded to 25 exceptional young women who have exhibited leadership potential in their community, organization, or profession.

If you are a dedicated emerging African woman leader prepared to make a positive difference, we encourage you to submit your application! We are looking for dynamic young women between the ages of 19 and 25 who are interested in refining transformational leadership skills to address challenges faced by women and girls in African societies.
The program includes a three-week residential Summer Institute in Ghana and a community change project. Selected participants may continue to be full-time students or professionals throughout the program, with the exception of the 3-week summer institute.
