Job Description: Monitoring & Evaluation Manager at Excellence Community Education Welfare Scheme Ltd/Gte (ECEWS)
The M&E Manager will have the responsibility of developing and implementing monitoring and evaluation strategies, frameworks, and tools to ensure accurate and timely collection of information and feedback to stakeholders. He/She will work closely with stakeholders to establish the necessary metrics for successful project implementation.
Key Responsibilities: Monitoring & Evaluation Manager at Excellence Community Education Welfare Scheme Ltd/Gte (ECEWS)
1. Provide strategic direction for the project’s M&E team, defining and establishing their goals and objectives.
2. Contribute to the development of program strategies, subproject documents, work plans, and budgets.
3. Offer technical support to sites in the state, including engaging with site Program Managers, M&E focal points, other implementing agencies, and local research groups to identify needs and ensure their understanding and support in preparing and organizing source documents for data entry into DHIS and reporting to the Donor.
4. Conduct regular monitoring visits to project sites, including performing data quality assessments (DQAs) using official tools, assisting in the preparation of monthly reports, and providing supportive supervision.
5. Ensure that the program/project activities adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) by providing support in the development and implementation of appropriate mechanisms to ensure quality.
6. Assist in developing and maintaining a computerized data capture system for the program, and provide technical assistance and training to staff responsible for data entry at the sites.
7. Document lessons learned and best practices in monitoring and evaluation, in accordance with national and global standards.
Minimum Recruitment Requirement: Monitoring & Evaluation Manager at Excellence Community Education Welfare Scheme Ltd/Gte (ECEWS)
A Master’s Degree in Statistics, Economics, Demography, Anthropology, Development Planning, Social Work, Epidemiology, or related subjects is required.
A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in monitoring and evaluation of public health interventions or large social sector programs.
In-depth knowledge of monitoring and evaluation techniques and methodologies, including experience in conducting operations research, household surveys, and qualitative assessments. Proficiency in data analysis, interpretation, and reporting.
Proficient in using analytical tools and software such as Stata, SPSS, MS Excel, etc.
Experience working in Enugu State will be an advantage.
