Job Opportunity: Recruitment into the Federal Fire Service by Civil Defence. Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board
The CDCFIB is currently accepting applications from eligible candidates for full-time positions in the Federal Fire Service (FFS). We are seeking qualified individuals to fill the current vacancies in the following roles.
Category A: INSPECTORATE CADRE
- Inspector Of Fire (IF) CONPASS 07 (Nursing) – Applicants are to be Registered Nurses (RN), Registered Midwives (RM) OR Registered Nurses/Midwives (RNIM) WHICH MUST be obtained from recognized institutions
- Assistant Inspector Of Fire (AIF), CONPASS 06 – Applicants are to be holders of NCE or ND in any related field, which must be obtained from recognized Polytechnic/Institution.
Category B: ASSISTANT CADRE
- Fire Assistant II (FA II) CONPASS 04 – Applicants are to be holders of GCE O/level, SSCE/NECO or other recognized equivalents with five (5) credits in not more than two sittings, and this should include English and Mathematics.
- Fire Assistant III (FAIII), Appliance Driver (Specialist), CONPASS 03 – Applicants are to be holders of GCE O/level, SSCE/NECO or equivalents with five (5) credits in not more than two sittings and this should include English and Mathematics. Applicants having Class E Drivers’ License is added advantage

STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE RECRUITMENT – In order to be considered for this recruitment, applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Nigerian citizenship by birth.
2. Possession of the necessary qualifications. Any certificates or qualifications that are not presented and accepted at the recruitment center will not be considered after the recruitment process.
3. Good health and presentation of medical fitness certificates from government-recognized hospitals.
4. Good character and no previous convictions for criminal offenses.
5. Non-membership in secret societies, cults, or drug addiction.
6. No involvement in any financial misconduct.
7. Age between 18 and 35 years.
8. Minimum height requirement of 1.65m for males and 1.60m for females.
9. Chest measurement of not less than 0.87 for males.
10. Computer literacy will be considered an advantage.
