Achievers Improved Health Initiative, established in 2014, is a non-profit organization dedicated to meeting the health and rights requirements of marginalized and minority individuals in Nigeria. The organization was formed in recognition of the impact of cultural and religious syncretism in our society, which intensifies the challenges faced by these individuals and exposes them to increased stigma and discrimination. Our main objective is to offer reliable information and facilitate access to services that will help combat the stigma associated with HIV/AIDS and non-conforming identities, ultimately enhancing their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities: Finance Manager at AIHI-Nigeria (Achievers Improved Health Initiative)

  • Supervise and guide AIHI finance Officers, cultivating a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of performance and implement professional development initiatives.
  • Identify and evaluate financial risks and implement appropriate measures to mitigate them.
  • Establish and maintain an effective internal control environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
  • Communicate financial information to the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Utilize financial software and tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
  • Stay updated on technological advancements in financial management.

Education: Finance Manager at AIHI-Nigeria (Achievers Improved Health Initiative)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master’s Degree is an additional advantage.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA are highly desirable.
  • Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN) certification is an additional advantage.
    Mandatory:

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in non-profit organizations or entities focused on young and vulnerable individuals is advantageous.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing financial operations and budgets.

  • Thorough understanding of financial regulations, QUICK-BOOK, accounting principles, and reporting standards.

  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
