INTERNATIONAL ECO-HERO AWARDS FOR YOUNG ENVIRONMENTALISTS CALLS FOR ENTRIES

Since 2003, Action For Nature (AFN), ECO-HERO AWARDS FOR YOUNG ENVIRONMENTALISTS. a non-profit organization based in the United States, has been dedicated to recognizing and rewarding young individuals who are actively addressing the world’s challenging environmental issues.

We take great pride in acknowledging the remarkable efforts of young people aged 8 to 16 from all corners of the globe. These individuals have undertaken innovative environmental projects, and as a token of appreciation, we offer them a cash prize, a certificate of achievement, and public recognition.

Prizes

  • Our winners not only receive a cash prize of up to $500, but they also gain exclusive access to our Eco-Hero Alumni Facebook Group.
  • Additionally, their achievements are showcased on our website and in various media outlets.

Judging

  • Our panel of judges, consisting of experts in environmental science, biology, and education, carefully review applications and evaluate the work of youth from various countries. They play a crucial role in determining the top achievers of the year.
  • Our esteemed judges, who are experts in environmental science, biology, and environmental health, are searching for young individuals who can follow in their footsteps.

PROJECT REQUIREMENTS

  • The project is on environmental health, advocacy, research, protection of the natural world.
  • The project is action-based and self-initiated and not assigned by a teacher
  • The project should be 6 months long and near completion or completed in the last one year.
  • If  an invention, some trials should have been completed before applying.
  • You must be between 8 and 16 years on February 28th
  • Science Fair will only be considered if they include environmental action, educational outreach or extended studies
  • Projects related to domestic or confined animals, (b) compositions or reports are not accepted
  • Past winners, relatives of AFN board, reading panel members, or judges cannot apply
  • Only applications in English language are accepted.
