IAFFE’s 2nd Feminist Economics School for early career professionals is now accepting applications
The Feminist Economics School is a gathering of early career scholars, practitioners, activists, and policymakers who are involved in research and action related to feminist economics. This school aims to provide training in feminist economics to individuals who have had limited or no formal access to such training.
Through workshops held over one-and-a-half days, participants will have the opportunity to learn about key aspects of feminist economics thinking, methodologies, and policy applications by reflecting on their own practices and experiences.
Requirements
The School offers a unique chance for participants to enhance their expertise in feminist economics through formal training, bridging the gap between theory and real-world impact. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to meet leading Feminist Economists.
Benefits
IAFFE encourages early-career scholars, activists, and policymakers who are interested in feminist economics to apply. Given that the School will be held in Rome, IAFFE particularly encourages applicants from the Middle East and North African region, as well as underrepresented groups in Europe.
Applicants must be comfortable working in English in order to fully participate in the program.
There is no fee to participate in the Feminist Economics School, and travel grants are available to cover the costs of travel, accommodation, and visa application for participants who need them. Meals and local transportation will be provided during the school. Participants are strongly encouraged to also attend the IAFFE Annual Conference, which will take place in Rome immediately after the school.
How to apply
To apply, interested individuals must complete the application form, including a brief 400-word statement, before December 31st. Applications will not be accepted after this date. IAFFE expects to select participants by early February.
