GSK Scholarships for Future Health Leaders to study in the UK (Funded) is now open

GSK is offering three scholarships to support the training and development of future leaders in global health. These scholarships aim to strengthen health systems and health-related research in Africa. The scholarships are highly competitive and are available for applicants who plan to study a one-year, full-time MSc program at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) in London.

Eligibility

  • To be eligible for these scholarships, applicants must be nationals of and residents in countries in sub-Saharan Africa.
  • They should also have the intention to return to sub-Saharan Africa after completing their MSc year at LSHTM.
  • Additionally, applicants must demonstrate financial need by submitting the Scholarships Application Form
  • And meet LSHTM’s minimum English language requirements.
  • They should hold a first degree at either a first or upper second class equivalency level and
  • Have an offer of admission for the 2024-25 academic year for one of LSHTM’s London-based intensive MSc programs.

Preference will be given to applicants who show potential in making significant contributions to public health and/or health-related research in Africa.

Benefits

  • For the 2024-25 academic year, three scholarships are available.
  • Each scholarship will cover tuition fees, including any mandatory field trip fees, and provide a tax-free stipend (living allowance) of GBP 19,500.00.

Application Process

  • The application process consists of two steps. To be considered for the funding, applicants must meet all eligibility criteria and complete both steps by the scholarship deadline of 23:59 (GMT) on Monday, March 4, 2024.
  • Step 1 involves submitting an application for the 2024-25 London-based MSc program of study, following the instructions provided under the ‘How to Apply’ tab on the relevant program of study page.
  • Step 2: Please make sure to indicate the scholarships you are applying for in the ‘FUNDING DETAILS’ section of your application form when applying to study. If you fail to select the GSK Scholarships for Future Health Leaders, you will not be considered for this funding opportunity.

Remember to attach a completed Scholarships Application Form to your study application, which you completed in Step 1. This is the only required attachment for scholarships (as applicants should have already submitted references, transcripts, a CV, etc., as part of their study application). For details visit the Official Site of GSK Scholarships Program.
