Unfortunately, teachers in low-income communities often face a lack of financial support, which directly affects the quality of education provided to students in these areas.

To address this issue, the Grooming Endowment Teachers Appreciation Program (GETAP) has been established. GETAP aims to provide assistance and recognition to dedicated teachers in underfunded and low-income communities. This program plays a crucial role in supporting deserving teachers by granting them a sum of two hundred thousand Naira (N200,000) and other resources in kind. This financial aid aims to alleviate some of the economic burdens faced by these teachers, enabling them to continue their passionate and essential work in society.

Grooming Endowment Teachers Appreciation Program (GETAP) Eligibility

To be eligible for GETAP, teachers must meet certain criteria.
Firstly, they must currently be working in an underserved and remote environment.
Additionally, they must be teaching in a primary or secondary school.
Furthermore, they should demonstrate the impact or innovation they have brought to their teaching practices.
It is also important for applicants to showcase their passion for teaching and their plans for continued growth in the profession, with the aim of benefiting more children and inspiring others in the field.
Lastly, a minimum of five years of teaching experience is required to be considered for this program.
