Application process for the 2025 Mo Ibrahim Foundation Leadership Fellowship Programme is now underway. The Fellowship invites aspiring leaders from across the continent to apply for the 2025 cohort of MIF Fellows, providing them with a valuable opportunity to advance their careers.

Previous MIF Fellows have come from diverse fields, including economics, trade, development, peace studies, and conflict resolution. Fellows will be placed at institutions such as the African Development Bank, the International Trade Centre, and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa. Each institution will host one Fellow, providing them with the chance to learn from and contribute to the senior management teams operating across the continent. Furthermore, the Fellows will benefit from personalized mentorship from global leaders in various sectors, gaining valuable insights to inform their leadership development.

This opportunity for learning and advancement includes a stipend of $100,000, enabling selected candidates to concentrate on their professional growth without financial burdens. The Fellowship Programme is open to mid-career African professionals who possess a master’s degree and have 7-10 years of relevant experience.

  • Minimum 7 years’ of relevant work experience
  • Master’s degree
  • Under the age of 40, or 45 for women with children
