Entries open for the Geneva Centre for Security Policy Prize

Applications are currently being accepted for the 2024 Geneva Centre for Security Policy Prize. Established in 2015 as part of the Creativity and Innovation Initiative, the GCSP and its Geopolitics and Global Futures Programme created this prize to recognize individuals or organizations that have a unique and innovative approach to addressing international security challenges.

The prize aims to encompass a wide range of disciplines and fields, with the goal of encouraging and acknowledging excellence in contributing to new methods of enhancing sustainable global security. Various types of projects may qualify for consideration, including technological and conceptual innovations, original research, and grassroots initiatives.

Eligibility for the Geneva Centre for Security Policy Prize

1. To be eligible for the prize, projects must be submitted by individuals, groups, or organizations from either the private or public sectors.
2. These projects should contribute to global security and adhere to the rules and regulations set forth for consideration.
3. While applications can come from any country, they should go beyond national borders in their scope or thinking and strive to address global security in innovative ways or through new ideas.

Prizes of the Geneva Centre for Security Policy Prize

1. The winners of the prize, including first, second, and third place, will be publicly announced during an event scheduled for November 2024.
2. The project that secures first place will receive a prize of CHF 10,000 and a certificate of excellence.
3. The two other finalist applications will be awarded a certificate of recognition.

Application for the Geneva Centre for Security Policy Prize

1. To apply for the prize, interested individuals or organizations must complete the online application form. The application should include a project abstract of no more than 250 words, a well-developed project description that does not exceed 750 words, and a description of the technical process of the submitted project if applicable.
2. Please ensure that you submit your application through the designated channel as applications sent via any other means will not be taken into consideration. Additionally, please note that all applications must be written in English.
