Applications for the 2024 Ian Parry Scholarship Prize for young photo Journalists are now being accepted. This grant is designed to support young and emerging photographers who are pursuing a career in photojournalism.

Eligibility for the Ian Parry Scholarship Prize for Young Photo Journalists

1. Requirements for the Ian Parry Photojournalism Grant include being 24 years old or younger,
2. or currently enrolled in a full-time photography course.
3. Entrants must submit a portfolio of 12 images along with a detailed project proposal.

Benefits of the Ian Parry Scholarship Prize for Young Photo Journalists

1. Benefits of the grant include a £10,000 award for the chosen project, publication of images by media partner The Guardian,
2. loan of Canon equipment for one year,
3. participation in the Hamburg portfolio review,
4. eligibility for the Canon Transmissions Programme at Visa Pour L’Image,
5. a year-long mentorship with an industry expert,
6. an assignment by renowned photojournalist Giles Duley, conflict training, body armor,
7. the opportunity to have work highlighted by industry judges.
8. Additionally, the Tom Stoddart Award for Excellence may be given at the judges’ discretion.
