Enter the ANSO-CAS-TWAS/UNESCO PhD Scholarship for scholars from developing countries

The ANSO Scholarship for Young Talents, launched in 2019, aims to train and nurture young scientists worldwide. Each year, the scholarship supports 200 Master’s students and 300 PhD students to pursue postgraduate education at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), or institutes of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) across China.

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Not hold Chinese citizenship.
2. Be nationals of eligible developing countries in the South.
3. Have proficiency in English or Chinese.
4. For PhD program applicants, be born after January 1st, 1989.
5. Meet the admission criteria for international students of USTC/UCAS.
6. Not take up other assignments during the scholarship period.
7. If currently pursuing a doctoral degree in China, the applicant will not be eligible for the PhD program of this scholarship. Any such cases will be reported to the current university/institution.
8. Not apply for the ANSO Scholarship in both USTC and UCAS simultaneously, as it will result in disqualification from admission.
