The Vienna Biocenter Summer School 2024 for undergraduate students worldwide (Fully Funded to Vienna, Austria) offers a distinctive chance for around 20 undergraduate students to collaborate with top researchers in a dynamic scientific setting. The program strives to attract talented students from all over the world, fostering a lively and diverse environment.
It is an excellent opportunity for students interested in pursuing graduate studies in the life sciences field. Successful applicants are provided with accommodation, a travel allowance, and a stipend for the duration of the scholarship. The program runs from the last Friday in June to the last Friday of August (or August 31) each year.
Eligibility
- To be eligible for the program, applicants must have completed at least three years of university courses in biology or relevant subject areas (senior undergraduate or master level students).
- A final bachelor’s or master’s degree is not required, and students already enrolled in a PhD program are not eligible to apply.
- Basic knowledge of biological research and technical laboratory skills, as well as English proficiency, are required. Prior lab experience is beneficial but not required.
- Applicants should also have a high level of motivation, be excellent team players, and committed to attending the entire three-month program (June 1st – August 31st).

- The Vienna Biocenter Summer School does not charge an application fee and welcomes applications from undergraduate and master’s students (BA Hons, Master, MSc) from all over the world who have completed at least two years of university study in a Life Sciences related field.
