The hackathon provides several benefits, including the chance to collaborate with major corporate companies in Nigeria, access new markets, connect with investors and secure funding for their businesses, build scalable solutions and infrastructure, and develop essential business skills. The total value of benefits available exceeds USD$75,000.

Objective

  • One of the main objectives of the hackathon is to select entrepreneurs and startups from various regions in Nigeria who have innovative solutions in areas such as Energy Management Systems, Software Development, Charging Infrastructure, Autonomous Driving Technology, Vehicle-to-grid Technology, Battery Technology, and more.
  • Participants will have access to curated mentoring, partnerships with both local and international corporate entities, funding opportunities from investors, support from international development agencies, government institutions, and much more.

Modality

  • The hackathon will operate using a hybrid model, combining offline and virtual components.
  • It will focus on entrepreneurs who can align their business models with the local e-mobility industry and receive market validation from corporate partners and other key stakeholders.
  • During the Grand Finale, which will be the first e-Mobility Innovation Demo Day in Nigeria, shortlisted entrepreneurs and startups are expected to progress from the Idea Stage to Minimum Viable Product (MVP), demonstrating their progress and potentially gaining acceptance into the Scale-up Accelerator program.
