Call for entries: KidsRights International Children’s Peace Prize for Individuals improving children’s rights.

Every year, KidsRights International Children’s Peace Prize for Individuals improving children’s rights recognizes a child who bravely advocates for children’s rights by awarding them the prestigious International Children’s Peace Prize. The winner will receive:

1. The “Nkosi” statuette, symbolizing a child who ignites change in the world.
2. The “Desmond Tutu study and care fund” to support the child’s education.
3. A project fund of €100,000, invested by KidsRights in children’s rights projects closely aligned with the winner’s area of work.

Moreover, winning the International Children’s Peace Prize provides the winner with a global platform to promote their important work.

Nomination Requirements:
To nominate a child, please note the following requirements:

1. Any person above the age of 18 or an organization can nominate a child.
2. The child must be between the ages of 12 and 17 at the time of the nomination deadline.
3. The child can be from any country in the world.
4. The child must have a proven track record of advocating for the rights of children, including themselves.
5. The child should be able to travel internationally and feel comfortable communicating with others. If chosen as the winner, they will need to attend the ceremony and effectively convey their message to various stakeholders.
6. The child must agree to be nominated for the International Children’s Peace Prize.
