Call for Applications: Smart Port Challenge (300,000 DH Funding)
The Smart Port Challenge 2024, organized by ANP and PortNet, offers a unique opportunity for innovators to tackle the challenges faced by smart ports. This competition is open to startups and focuses on various areas including sustainable development, energy transition, logistics, trade facilitation, service continuity, and port security. The main objective is to integrate practical and human-centered solutions that bring significant value to both port clients and the port community.

We are looking for innovative solutions that can contribute to the preservation of the port environment and enhance port performance. Your solutions should also have the potential to streamline port and foreign trade processes, as well as aid in decision-making.

Selection
- In February 2024, the Final Selection Committee will organize a Bootcamp for the pre-selected startups. During this event, the startups will benefit from personalized guidance provided by industry experts from ANP and PORTNET, as well as entrepreneurship and innovation experts from UM6P.
- The main objective of the Bootcamp is to refine the startups’ projects to align with the port context and enable them to present their ideas to a jury.
- Ultimately, three startups will be selected to proceed with the implementation of a Proof of Concept (POC).

Qualification Criteria
- Legal Status – To be considered for selection, the startup must have a valid legal status and be officially registered in the commercial register.
- Team and Experience – The startup should showcase its proficiency in leading innovative projects and its expertise in handling disruptive new technologies. Additionally, the quality and capabilities of its team will also be evaluated.
- Availability and Commitment – The evaluation process will assess the startup’s operational commitment, particularly its willingness to actively collaborate with the port community. This collaboration is crucial for implementing relevant solutions throughout the hybrid competition period.
- Contracting Capability – The startup’s ability to effectively implement the proposed solution in the port and foreign trade sector, while engaging with interested stakeholders, will be thoroughly evaluated.
