Call for Applications by the Africa Matter Ambassador Program (AMAP) 2024

Africa Matters Initiative (AMI) is a youth-led organisation that aims to empower and upskill young Africans in order to change their communities & African narrative through leadership, social entrepreneurship, and advocacy. It aims to break the cycle of challenges that hinder Africa’s future. Africa Matter Ambassador Program (AMAP) is a year-long virtual leadership development program designed specifically for young Africans. Successful applicants will receive training to enhance their skills, build cross-continental networks, and benefit from mentorship by industry leaders. They will also be guided through the implementation of Community Engagement Projects (CEPs).

Following the virtual program, there will be a comprehensive evaluation process lasting six months. This evaluation will assess the progress of the CEPs and examine how the program has contributed to the holistic development of the participants as active community change-makers. By the end of the program, AMAP Ambassadors will have a strong network of young African leaders and mentors, a certificate of participation, a scalable community-based project, and newly acquired skills.

Eligibility:
– Open to young Africans aged 18-29
– Must be from one of the following countries: Ghana, Cameroon, Rwanda, Tanzania, Namibia, Angola, Malawi, South Africa, Tunisia, Zambia, and Sierra Leone.

Application Process:
Applications will close on November 26, 2023, at 11:59 pm CAT. The online development program will be conducted in English and will officially start in March 2024, concluding in February 2025.
