Applications for the 2025 Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Program are now being accepted. The University of Toronto’s Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships offer an exceptional opportunity for exceptional international students to pursue their studies at one of the world’s top universities in a highly diverse city.

This scholarship program aims to acknowledge students who exhibit outstanding academic performance and creativity, as well as leadership qualities within their school. It places particular emphasis on the student’s impact on their school and community, as well as their potential to make a positive contribution to the global community in the future.

These scholarships are awarded annually to exceptional students worldwide, including international students enrolled in Canadian high schools. The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships are the most prestigious and competitive scholarships for international students at U of T. Recipients will receive coverage for tuition, books, incidental fees, and full residence support for four years. The scholarship is only valid for first-entry undergraduate programs at the University of Toronto. Each year, approximately 37 students will be selected as Lester B. Pearson Scholars.

Eligibility: Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Program

1. In order to be considered for the Pearson International Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
2. – You must be an international student, meaning you are not a Canadian citizen and require a study permit.
3. – You should be in your final year of senior secondary school in 2024/2025, or have graduated no earlier than June 2024.
4. – You must be starting your studies at the University of Toronto in September 2025. Please note that students who are already attending post-secondary studies or starting their post-secondary studies in January 2025 at another institution cannot be considered.

Application Process – Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Program

1. The 2025 Competition will open on July 1, 2024. To apply, you will need to:
2. – Receive a nomination from your school. High schools that have not been contacted or verified are required to submit an application to participate in the program HERE.
3. – Apply to study at the University of Toronto by October 18, 2024, in order to begin your studies in September 2025. Please be aware that you will be considered for the Pearson Scholarship for your first choice of program at U of T. You may apply for several programs and may receive admission to all of them; however, the Pearson Scholarship, if awarded to you, would be restricted to your first choice of program at U of T at the time our scholarship decisions are made.
4. – Once we have received a nomination and you have applied to the university, you can complete the online Lester B. Pearson Scholarship application by November 8, 2024. You will receive a private link to the scholarship application when you are successfully nominated by your school.
5. – Submit all necessary documentation online by November 8, 2024.
