2. Through initiatives like the EVWA Changemakers Campaign and the EVWA Council, the BKMC is committed to advocating for the empowerment of women farmers in Africa.

Despite making up almost half of the world’s smallholder farmers and producing 70% of the continent’s food, women in Africa face significant challenges due to gender disparities and the impact of climate change. These obstacles include limited access to land, financial resources, education, and more.
